- 1 kg bone of cow or chicken => washed with salty water
- 5 liters of fresh water
- Shallot (10gr/liter) => grilled
- Anise (6 stars)
- Cinnamon (10gr)
- Coriander seed: 2gr
- Cardamon: 3gr
- Close (kind of spice)
- Ginger (30gr) => grilled
Roast anise, cinnamon, coriander seed, cardamom and close together till they are brown and smell good.
Put bone in a cooking jar, pour about 5 liters of water, add all ingredients bring to boil then simmer on a low fire for about 4 hours. Seasoning with salt and sugar, try to taste till you like it.

- Sliced beef or shredded chicken
- Bean sprout
- Spring onion
- Fish sauce
- Fresh chili
- Soya sauce
Soak enough amount of pho noodle in hot water then add to a large bowl, topping with sliced beef or shredded chicken, bean sprout. Pour the broth into the bowl.
It served along with a plate of basil, coriander, sliced chili, lemon, fish sauce……..
